201 Stainless Steel

Type 201 is an austenitic chromium-nickel-manganese stainless steel and is non-magnetic in the annealed condition, but becomes magnetic when cold worked. Type 201 can be substituted for Type 301 in many applications as it has similar properties and is less expensive.
