440C Stainless Steel

Type 440C stainless steel attains the highest hardness of straight chrome family. It has good corrosion resistance compared to Type 440A and can be hardened to RC58-62. Type 440C also resists scaling up to 1200 degrees F while in continuous service and resists corrosion from fresh water steam, crude oil, gasoline plus resists staining from fruit and food acids.
