304 Stainless Steel

Type 304 stainless steel is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel that is non-hardenable and non-magnetic except by cold working. It has on a general purpose corrosion resistance to most corrosive chemicals and industrial atmospheres, but may be susceptible to chloride stress cracking. Superior to Type 302 in corrosion resistance.
